What are Split Share Corporations?

Split corporations issue two types of securities: preferred shares and class A shares. Preferred shareholders receive fixed dividends with priority over common shareholders, while class A shareholders receive leveraged exposure to capital appreciation and variable dividends from the underlying portfolio.

Downside Protection indicates the percentage decline the portfolio can experience before the preferred shares are at risk. Higher values indicate safer preferred shares.
